Look Out Detroit! By popular request I am updating this blog. Yes, I arrived safely in the Detroit area on September 19th in the wee hours of the morning. Caught a few hours sleep and arrived early at Court for the sentencing of the mortgage scammer/criminal. I have to admit that it gave me great pleasure to see him led into and out of the Courtroom in prison garb with his hands cuffed behind his back. After using every trick in the book, the defense attorney succeeded in dragging out the hearing until the Judge announced that the hearing would continue at a later date. October 2nd at 11:00 a.m. was agreed upon. Yes, I will be making yet another trip to Detroit. This time I am flying. I can't stand the traffic in and around the Chicago area. Also, this trip is going to be a much longer stay. I will be in MI for 3 - 4 weeks. Lots of time to kiss, hug and spoil my grandchildren. (Yes, I do have grandchildren - 10 of them). It does appear from the limited testimony on the 19th that the criminal will get at least 10 years in prison. It is my understanding that after he serves his time he will be deported. Good riddance. If any of y'all are going to be in the Detroit area during the month of October drop me a line, look me up or whatever. Let's get together! Enjoy life - smile - be happy.  The positive is there. Sometimes it's just hard to find.  |
