Wonderful sunset over the ocean... I would have thought that there would have been 'White Nights' in Norway much like in Russia. I'd love to see some landscapes of Norway Sandy Happiness is where we find it, but rarely where we seek it. J. Petit Senn

the first time you experience this its quite strange ~ the sun dips below the horizen at 11pm and rises at 1am it never actually goes dark i mid summer in winter its the opposite the sun rises at 11am and sets at 3pm with little or no twilight time ~ further north in the arctic circle the sun never rises in winter at best a hue of light is visible for just an hour or so but the northern lights ( auroa borielis ) makes a good show in the darkness
