Lunker Lodge Social Picnic I just made my first trip from MD to NC to attend the Lunker Lodge Social Picnic which was planned by Gary, the manager/owner. It took 5 hours from my house to the Lodge and the drive was just beautiful and the weather was great. I got to see alot of Virginia and parts of North Carolina in just a few short hours. Upon arrival, we were taken on a tour of the Lodge and the property. Gary has put alot of time and thought into this place and it is very interesting to hear what he has done there. I got to meet several of SFFs and they are all very funloving people. Unfortunately the person that went with me didn't want to stay the night and we had to cut our visit short. I would have loved to stay overnight and socialize with the people that I met but was unable to. If you get the opportunity to visit Hertford, NC please take a moment to stop and see Lunker Lodge and go fishing. You will love it as I did. Great job Gary and believe me I'll be back without anyone with me so I can enjoy the area. |
