things that made it a good day

at the end of every day, i always thank God for making it a 'good' day. today, i thought about what made it a good day....

i heard bob seger's new release 'wait for me' and i almost cried. simply from the joy of knowing he has a new song out there. and it's a beautiful song.

i had talapia baked in parchment at red lobster and i did not have a cheese biscuit. and i was fine with my meal, did not feel deprived and did not sulk because i didn't eat a cheese biscuit.

the church service i attend was especially joyous and wonderful today. the praise and worship music was inspiring. i am blessed to belong to the community i do. every sunday, i leave there renewed and refreshed. it only took me about 50 years to find a church that feels like home...

on my way to church this morning, i passed a bench (by the bus stop) that had an advertisemnt across the back of the bench for a realtor: joan marsh. the bench sat in front of a flooded field. i cracked up laughing. flooded field=marsh....get it???? oh, never mind.

it was overcast but the sun finally came out. maybe el paso can begin to dry out.

i leave for vermont (and my family) on the 29th. i will be there until oct. 3rd.

the package i mailed to my grandson in anchorage should arrive tomorrow. he loves boxes from nana. i love finding and sending things i know he'll enjoy. i color on the box so he knows it's from me. butterflies. fish. elephants. moose.

i worked on my novel.

i didn't eat the cheese biscuit at red lobster. oh. did i already mention that one?

so what made it a good day for you?

Sounds like a wonderful day. How can you not eat the cheese biscuit?? hahaha I have never had talapia but have heard it is really good. I usually get swordfish, my favorite fish. I will try talapia the next time and think of you...can I eat your biscuit??
I am going to visit my great grandchildren (and the rest of the family) and have been working on little "goodies" for them too, plus my grandson. It is fun and they do enjoy getting things from granny don't they. Ann

Debra,
Just waking up in the morning makes it a good day for me! LOL
I was helping my elderly neighbor clean up his apartment, and seeing his smile makes everything good. Have a wonderful time with you're family, take care, and God Bless You.

I could never pass up a cheese biscuit at Red Lobster, NO WAY!
It only took you 50 years to find that church? I'm still looking ..*sigh*
Have a great time in Vermont. I can picture you in that little secluded camper, enjoying the solitude. It reminds me of my own trysts with nature throughout all the years. It sounds heavenly.

I just got to say, I enjoy reading your blogs, thanks !
