Is 23 Blogs in Three Days Excessive Posting ?

This morning I posted a comment on one of the 23 blogs that have been posted by profile poetroamer in just three days. I advised him that I thought he was overdoing the clogging and that he might get a better response if he kept his posting to one or two a day. Given that about half of his posts elicited no comments at all and the rest only garnered about 30 comments between them, approximately half of which were his own, I thought he might have been grateful for the 'heads up'. But I was wrong, very wrong. This person has since posted a blog accusing me of rudeness, lacking manners, being a rubbish person, and demanding an apology. He also deigned to scold me for not paying for the privilege of being a member of SFF, which leads me to wonder how many others will be similarly castigated and threatened with having to look at blank pages should they ever dare have the temerity to displease him.

The question I pose is this :

Is 23 blog posts in three days excessive ?
Yes
No

It's a little over the top. BUT, it's his perogative to post them if he wishes. YOU can only choose not to read them if you wish....

There is lottsa space , let him and everyone use as much as they want , why does it matter ?

Forget the front page , as blogland grows , you will have to search ,use watched blogs ect ect ..

It is excessive and shows little consideration for others who are being pushed off the page. He could very well combine several into one without "clogging" as much.

Hi Will: Oops, I replied to his blog but I wasn't even aware of the clogging. I can't stand cloggers either, as they just seem so arrogant to me. Oh well, I personally think that one blog a day should be enough for anyone, but then again who am I to judge how much attention a person requires? Now when I go to the blogs I just click on "view all" and skim right past the clogs.

If you don't like it, don't read it.

If it really bothers you so much....get a hobby!

Life...ya gotta love it!

Nemo, One of my hobbies is railing against greedy, conceited and inconsiderate people who are vain enough to think that anyone would want to read eight or more submissions of their's every day, in the process, showing scant regard for other members' efforts by hastening their posts from the 'shop window' of page #1 where, in my opinion, the majority of readers spend what little time they have to spare when they visit Blogland.

In my time at SFF, I have come across countless well written blogs by newcomers or otherwise little known bloggers, that received NO COMMENTS, on their blogs because their posts were submerged by a glut of entries by serial cloggers. Clearly you accord these people the right to clog away to their hearts' content, but you would deny me and many others the same right to express our distaste for the practice.

It seems a little strange to me that cloggers dont appear to bother you, but those of us that are bothered by them do. Methinks maybe you're the one that needs a hobby to relieve you of some of the negativity you seem to be over-possessed of.

Do you remember that woman from England with the handle of "fatsally" who thought she'd solve clogging with a fight fire with fire strategy, so she would post 50 blogs concurrently...and most of them contained one ridiculous sentence?
I think I'll try it. lol!

i don't understand how posting multiple blogs automatically deems you "greedy, inconsiderate and conceited.' conceited, to me, is anyone writing a blog who assumes what they have to say is soooo important, it needs to be posted where the most readers may glimpse it. in a world full of gut-wrenching injustice, railing against 'blog quantity' seems like a massive waste of time and effort.

DLW, If one was to take your line of reasoning to its logical conclusion - " in a world full of gut-wrenching injustice, railing against 'blog quantity' seems like a massive waste of time and effort" - there'd be little more to do each day than sit around discussing how we might manage to survive until tomorrow, to the exclusion of all diversion and recreation.

I dont post many blogs, so I'm not overly concerned about attaining prime space for my own sparse submissions. What I do want to see is fair play for all bloggers, and I identify those that clog as being
forbidding of that right to their fellow bloggers while securing it manifold for their own greedy and inconsiderate selves. I cant understand how any reasonable person would disagree with that.

Who cares, it's his life, his blog, his choice.

Reading his posts is not compulsary.

Bikenski, I've also been long been aware of your predilection for negativity. I dont see that guy posting eight blogs a day anymore.
How do you explain that ? Would you like me to remove your inaccurate observation from my blog ?

OMG...all this rage about someone who posts alot of blogs at one time...too funny!!!!
I think I will start a new hobby in which I rail against fools that attack someone for doing someone they deem is so offensive that they waste an entire blog belittling people that defend the person under attack.!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the laugh...your ranting and raving proves once again how some folks take all this way too seriously.
btw, some may think that a clogger is someone that is arrogant...I think perhaps the person that is so quick to criticize another for something so trivial is the arrogant one!....JMO!

Life...ya gotta love it!

By the very act of clicking the post button for your response, you publically contradict virtually everything you say in it.

You criticize me for doing no more than protesting against something I regard as unfair and inconsiderate. Why should that bother you ? How come you grant yourself the right to protest against my views on a matter that didn't directly concern you, and, according to the sentiments expressed in your post, something you shouldn't have wanted to get involved in.

Your original comment on this post,

"If it really bothers you so much....get a hobby!"

was a pathetic attempt to be dismissive, belittling and insulting, but not something that was going to get by me without response. I've seen the same type of comment from you on numerous blogs in the past and I regard it as a cheap effort that's almost beneath contempt.

Remember this madam, I dont need your permission to write about anything I want to on this site, any more than you need mine or anyone else's to spout your trademark snideness.

I can't stop you from doing anything you like - it's your blog, after all. But just out of curiousity, do you have any evidence that your post affected his behaviour? Correlation is not causality.

poetroamer must have been removed by someone reporting him for abuse. He was a nice man and was interested in his poetry. As he was housebound he was probably filling in time and trying to make his day interesting. Shame on whoever reported him.
