A Limerick

There was once a philosopher
Who aspires to be a writer
Although he writes well
His articles can't sell
Now he has become a blogger

He likes to play with fire
Writes posts that raise people's ire
He stirs the pot
Until it's hot
Not what we all desire

He was then reported for abuse
The SFF ruled, "There's no excuse"
He said his goodbyes
With tears in his eyes
"I was only trying to amuse"

So the saga goes on and on
Some remain while others have gone
They get you riled up
You bash them to a pulp
In the end, has anybody won?

Great limerick , and quite true.
There's a saying "sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me". It's no longer true, as names can hurt you, especially in the world of the internet where people can easily write bad things about people.

He wrote in Tagalog? How did that get past the SFF? Even if you reported him, how would SFF know what he said? You should have referred him to me so I can bash him to a pulp and then tie him to a stake and throw durians/dorians at him. Yes, some of us are foul, offensive and disgusting.

Hi whiterose,
Thank you for your comment. Very true; they are now able to write falsehoods by SMS too.

No, no, no, throw something else at him, as that's a waste of durians. I love them
Use coconuts, they are heavy and plentiful.

But coconuts don't have thorns! In that case, I suggest we eat the durians and throw the skins at him.

    thank you so very much!

your limerick was oh so funny!

and, much of its funniness is in recognizing the frustration of the intricacies of the system which is in place for setting off abuse alerts on Senior Friend Finder. it's not your ordinary system.

i'm sure you've seen words get butchered, such as fuchsia, the color or a flower. that's just a simple example. it's interesting to hear how we trigger the automatic system or trigger fellow blogger's sensibilities.

on these blogs, sensibilities are often distressed. we don't all have the same beliefs. i do enjoy what i've seen of your work and humor. again thank you and blessings, shar
Hi shar,
Thanks for appreciating the humour. I believe the frustration is less when we look at the humorous side.

Enjoyed this blog, the mind of a writer seeks acknowledgement, where is the limits? Sad...

In the end, has anybody won?

Hi ladylu,
Thanks for the visit. Yes, we can only hope that more realize that nobody wins when it comes to conflict.
