We are about 150 miles from St. Louis, Missouri, which has a fairly large zoo. We took the children a time or two every year, and made it an all day picnic excursion. The last time I went, my children were grown with children of their own, and several met us in the city to stay at a motel and go to the zoo together. My old knees soon told me that I was no spring chicken anymore, so I did a lot of sitting and watching the polar bears. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I remember seeing these at the San Diego Zoo many years ago when we lived not far from San Diego. Kind of strange looking creatures.
