How beautiful. For a long time, I had no idea that a water lily would bloom, and I was amazed at how lovely they are! Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Once I skated on a flash-frozen pond which had ice as clear as a window-pane. I cupped my hands to shut out the light and put my forehead on my hands and I could see clearly all the way to the muddy bottom. The water was amber gradually getting darker until the very bottom was a dark sienna. The water-lily stems were a glowing turquoise green and perfectly round in cross section, as thick as my thumb.....they descended towards the mud in perfect logarithmic spirals ..........They were very reminiscent of a baby's umbilical cord shortly after birth, when it is still engorged with blood.
