Friday's Bouquet

I found this plant with its interesting flowers in a weekend market in Brisbane known as The Powerstation or something like that.

Interesting combination of colors, Lee. I wonder what the name of the plant is.

Yes, very unusual Lee - it looks as if the flower belongs to another plant species and has been grafted on to host plant.

Thank you, Alfie. I do not know what plant it is but judging from the leaves and the size and position of the cluster I think it could be the yucca plant.

Thank you, Mary Ann. It is very hot here after a week of rain. The sea of clouds you view from a plane never cease to amaze me but recently, on my way back from Brisbane, the dark rain clouds I saw were awesome. Have a dry week.

The wall in the background is the side of the old power station. The plant is beside a path leading to the park beside it. You are right about the plants of course. They are so hardy and will survive any situation. I wish Joe a speedy recovery.

Thank you, lilium. Yes, the cluster is so big it looks like another plant.
