Friday's Bouquet It is early winter now in Brisbane and it is getting colder but the flowers are still blooming. I spotted a unique flower a few days back during my early morning walk which I am sure will interest you guys too. By the powers invested in me by my forefather, the Great Genghis Khan, I hereby name this flower the Elephant Trunk flower. We call that a century plant. They take about 50 years to mature and flower (at least the ones we have here). Once they flower they die but by then there are several shoots growing around the original plant. I have a cluster around my mail box but becasue it is so dry here they do not look as healthy as yours. Spiritwoman ^i^
