Hornbills I don't know whether you can see them but there are two hornbills on the palm tree - one in the centre and the other on a frond on the left. Lee Live today as if it is your last For tomorrow will soon be in the past |

Found them. I am sure they love the palms. My property is surrounded by palm trees (25 in all. I used to wonder why we had so many kinds of birds there then the guy from a local pet store came by asking if he could pick some palm fronds. Seems they are natural nesting grounds for most birds. Yes Lee, I see them, I see them. Interesting picture, did you take it? Alfie... Yes, I took it at the Lake Garden. It's a pity my zoom lens is only X15 max. Lee Live today as if it is your last For tomorrow will soon be in the past

Hi Roxy, Hummingbirds and woodpeckers are getting scarce but we have the sparrows, crows and owls. Herons and egrets can only be seen when they stop over here during their migration. You have a lot of birds which I have only heard of. Maybe you can photograph and post them here. Lee Live today as if it is your last For tomorrow will soon be in the past

Hi et, I did not know they exist until about 10 years ago when I saw one at Pangkor Island which has a light-green bill and was surprised when told that it was indigenous to the island. Lee Live today as if it is your last For tomorrow will soon be in the past

Why don't you photograph the birds to share with us? I think a lot of us would enjoy that. Lee Live today as if it is your last For tomorrow will soon be in the past

I can not see them well, but the picture is great, Lee. Roxy: I think you're lucky to listen to the best birds concert, eh? Sorry I could not make them bigger. I love the birdsong in the morning and sometimes, in the evening too. I am sure there are a lot of beautiful birds in your place like the cockatoo. Perhaps you can share. Hi Meri, Yes, there are three of them but the one on the right is facing away from us so we can only see its rear. Lee Live today as if it is your last For tomorrow will soon be in the past

They are lovely birds but make a hell of a noise, i have them here in my garden in Ghana where they eat my palmnuts from the oil palm tree. Yes, they are very noisy. Those in Taiping have a yellow bill while those in Sarawak have a red or orange bill. What about those at your place? Please photograph and share.
