Foto Friday - Friday the 13th On Friday, the 13th I had Nasi Lemak for breakfast. Nasi Lemak is widely eaten in Malaysia and is deemed to be our national food although it is also popular in other South East Asian countries. There are different versions but it is commonly rice cooked with coconut milk to which are added slices of cucumber, fried small anchovies, roasted peanuts, hard-boiled egg or some egg dish, fish, curry chicken/prawns and sambal (a hot spicy sauce). Sounds like a lip-smacker, Lee, and the photo of it is great. Thanks so much for the post. "Life isn't fair, but it beats whatever comes in second." -- Gentleben

Nice shot Lee and it looks very appetizing. I don't remember ever eating Nasi Lemak when I was in your country, but I often used to eat Nasi Goreng and really enjoy it. Alfie...
