Foto Friday - Taiping

1. A blooming Angsana tree
2. Calisthenics at the Lake Garden in the morning.
3. Kota Road – The white building on the right is the District Office.

5. Fried noodle seller – He fries noodles with just bean sprouts and yet it’s so delicious.
6. My alma mater – Saint George’s Institution.

Hi Lee. Taiping -- a beautiful place, and unfortunately, for all the travel I did throughout all of SE Asia, I was never there. Thank you for the beautiful collage.

Great picttures Lee. Brought back many memories. I think I told you before that I was stationed in Taiping during the troubles in the fifties. Seems such a long time ago now.

Hi Roxy,

I am afraid I do not know the name of that tree. Unfortunately the Angsana flowers do not last long; maybe a week or two. The tiny flowers fall to the ground like flakes and the road becomes paved with gold.
