LADIES - PLEASE DON'T USE AIR CONDITIONERS  Reproducing an ANI news item of 22 May 2013 :- Washington, May 22 ( ANI ): A self-proclaimed Saudi cleric said that if women turn on air-conditioners at home in their husband's absence could lead to moral depravities. The man claiming to be Salafist-Wahhibist cleric posted on Twitter that if any woman turns on the cooler ventilator in the absence of her husband, someone might notice her presence home and this might bring about immorality. Salafists and Wahhibists are ultra-conservatives of Sunni Muslims hailing from Saudi Arabia and have issued frequent fatwas in the past. According to the Washington Times, in an earlier incident another cleric claiming to be of the Salafist sect posted on YouTube a video claiming of non-Sunni and non-Muslim women as acceptable. Hi Friendly: If that's really true, then I've had just about all I can take of all religions. Every day now we turn on the news and hear of some horrible bombing or senseless killings all because some religious fanatics and their hate for another religion. I think everyone should keep their religious beliefs to themselves and stay in their own countries. A CNN reporter (Wolf Blitzer) covering the Oklahoma tornado actually asked a survivor if she 'thanked the Lord' that she and her child survived! She said she didn't because she is an Atheist. How on earth can anyone look around at all that death and destruction and be thankful to 'the Lord' for not stopping it??????

Thanks MrsJoe - an AC on anywhere in the world simply implies that someone is trying to escape high temperature (and sometimes humididty combined with the high temperature). I know that there are many who leave the AC or the cooler on and they have their justifiable reasons. No God ever preached the putrefied thoughts that some of our clerics across the spectrum of faiths harbour (though I find, quite lamentably, that Islam, courtesy their clergy, has remained medieval). Can you imagine some Sunni cleric claiming that of non-Sunni and non-Muslim women is acceptable ?? Perhaps they should dissolve a fertiliser in water and drink it and, thereafter, perform a head stand - gravity will get the fertiliser into their brains and they will, hopefully grow up.
