Rain In The Fall

At least it's not snow...yet...

Today is a nice day to work on comfort chores. Like feeding the chickensand putting better latches on their coops.

Seems there's some kind of varmit wanting to get into their quarters at night. I hope it's a cat or a skunk and not racoons!

It's a good day to spend time with the chicks too. Taming them to be accustomed to being handled for the poultry shows next year.

I like the first snow, don't like the ice. After the first snow it can go directly to Spring! lol Ann

I like how they handle snow here in Georgia. Everything shuts down. But then we don't have snow every year.

I'm not sure I could have Christmas without snow, but I sure like the idea of Georgia sunshine!

Snow came down in last couple days, however it has melted when it hit the ground. Hope you found the critter in the chicken coop.

"At least it's not snow...yet."

Do you have a light for warmth at night?

Suggestion. I have a video camera, with night vision LEDs, and monitor combination under $100 that I use to view my front driveway. Comes with 60' of cable. If that's within the distance to your coop it may help with your problem. Check you discount houses. Wallys world for one.

The varmit seems to have given up

My chicks are nice and warm with their lamp.

Thanks for the suggestions!
