ok i have a question! Ok many times i have seen people come into the chat rooms, that are not in their 50's 60's or 70's and people tell them they should leave because this is a site says "Dating for people with experiance" ok my question is! How much dating experiance does one need to have before they are considered experanced? After all a lot of people from what i have seen on here are or have been married for some time, so to me that means they were not dating durring that time they were married, so if a person comes on the site that has never been married and is say in their 30's and a person on the site in their 60' has been married since they were 20 and now divorced at say 58 who has more experiance dating? by my calculation the 30 something person may have rite? so who is to say since i have seen no age requirment other than being over 18 who is and who is not fullfilled their dating experince requirment to belong to this site? Hey i am just currious to see what everyone has to say don't mean to bend anyones nose out of shape now! |

Chattinforfun, Their ages do not bother me. What bothers me is when they immediately want you to go to private chat or IM, begging for men or women to look at their profiles, or start getting nasty to the other roomies. If you are going to come into a Senior Chat room, then at least act like an adult. As for experience, I would think at our ages, we have had the experience, just not so much in the last few years. And that is where the younger folks may have us beat - or at least more up-to-date experience. However, the younger ones do not bother me as much as the married ones that come looking for a discreet relationship. I have no use for them what so ever. If you are unhappy in your marriage then get some counseling or get out of it, before you start testing the waters again. Debbie

I am not sure why people get defensive about age..and experience. I can surely chat with someone of any age, now if they are looking for more than chat that may be a different story. I am looking for someone with maturity and common sense, a sense of them self and that is not really an age requirement. If the person is offensive then that would be a reason to tell them to move along or ignore them otherwise I say ...CHAT at it. Just my opinion and not sure what it is worth since I rarely go into chat. RED Some believe in destiny, some believe in fate. I believe that happiness is something we create

Chattin, When I started chatting here, the site was for people "over 50" and later on for people "over 40". Why call it Senior Friend Finder if it isn't for seniors? And seniors doesn't mean high school seniors or even college seniors, as far as I know.

chattin, i dont think experience is the key word, its senior friendfinder , senior like in over 45 or so. iam only here to chat so i really dont care one way or the other just thought i put in my 2 cents worth,

experience is not everything...dating is a time to learn things about each other to discover what each other likes...and age is just a number ..... i have been married and divorced and now am back to being single and wanting to date...i have experience ...in life i have experience ..but am not expert on dating..but...do you have to be an expert on dating to have experience...and i would date someone younger than me...cause they can keep up with my wildness i think..but heck..older men just might surprise me...lol keep learning chattinforfun that is the experience and the fun in life

Ok i got some very good and differant types of answers and everyone had a good point! I can say that i used to belong to a singles group that ranged in age from 18 to 90+ and i found that yes older people liked to be around the older people and younger around the younger, but also some younger liked to e around the older to learn from their experiances and some older liked to be around younger to keep feeling young. I am not sure there is actually an age set by law or in stone when you become a senior, here restarunts say any wheres from 55 to 65 before you are one, but to me i think as long as everyone treats everyone else with respect it's all fun!!!
