Driven by fire

Bible in a year:
1 Reyes -18

Luke 22: 47–71
If we throw in the burning heat, the God we serve can release books. . . . But even if he doesn't do it. . . we will not serve your gods

Daniel 3: -18

Writing and intuition of today:

Daniel 3: -18, 25-27
When the firedman, tired and sick of soot, stopped at a restaurant to break up, the waitress recognized the men by the news and realized that they spent the night profiting against a fire in a store. To show her appreciation, she wrote a note on her invoice, “This is on me today. Thanks. . . for serving others and for running there were places that all others have. . . . Driven by fuel and driven by courage, who are you ".

In the Old Testament, we see an example of courage in the actions of three young people: Sadrac, Mesac and Abednego (Daniel 3). Instead of obeying the mandate to stand before a statue of the king of Babylon, these young people showed their love for God through his denial. His punishment was to be thrown into a oven in flames. However, the men in the fell back: "If we throw the Oven in flames, the God that we serve can be the books of his, and he will teach us of his Majesty's hand. we will never adore the image of prayer ”(vv. -18.

They were rescued and I even walked with them in the smoke.
(vv. 25-27). In our burning problems and problems today, we also have the assurance that God is with us. He's capable.

Reflects and prays
How did you feel the presence of God during a difficult problem? What about the confidence to follow ahead when challenges arise?

God Almighty, thanks for being with me in the fire and for comforting me with your presence.

It was hard to understand this today, the missing letters and words together with incomplete translations made it difficult to read. Knowing the story though, I followed the gist of the message. God does see me through the fire with his strength and comfort.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Dios is a Latin interpretation of God. How many time have I felt like I was walking through the fire in life but felt like I wasn't alone.
