Just Thinking

The other day, I came across an interesting quotation from the Roman philosopher, Seneca. He lived in the Roman Empire at about the time of Christ. To me, the quote is quite compelling.

"Begin at once to live"

Over the past few years, I have been drawn to the practice of mindfulness. Particularly through the writings of the Buddhist monk, Tich Nat Han. I am surprised to see such a mindful message from the pre-Christan era. It seems that notion of the importance of being totally involved in this moment is an age old concept. I think that I can take a lesson here. Thanks for listening.

I think this is something many us forget to do.

Much like the words from the song by Tim MaGraw..." Live like you were dying"

Today is a gift, tomorrow is promised to no one!
