Labor Day Usually, regarded as the end of the summer season. The are back to school(for anyone that has or grandchildren). The start of the football season (Go Pats). The World Series (No Red Sox this year). In fact, the season doesn't change for another few weeks, but to the keen observer, you can feel that touch of fall in the air. The shadows grow longer in anticipation of meeting the close of the year. Autumn is a beautiful time here on the North Shore. You can take a drive up to Essex or Gloucester. Maybe play some golf. For me, there is this very special place along the coast where the salt marshes with their long brown grass are framed by groves of trees changing color. If I ever get clever with technology, I might even post a picture. Well, one more day of rest. Time to make preparations for another week of work. Enjoy the day. Oldsalt |

We usually go for a short ride each day. The last few days we have noticed the leaves turning yellow. Soon they will be gone and waiting to pop back out in the spring. Fall is my favorite season! The colors are gorgeous!!!
