" Real people" do exsit on this site. Just some thoughts about things I've been reading on this site lately and most of it seem to be about "real people". There seems to be alot of questions about how can you tell if someone is real... Are there any real people on this site? Is he/she to good to be real? How can you tell if someone is too good to be true? The way I see it, if after you've read someone's thoughts and comments on a wide range of subjects you can't help but get a feel for the real person. If you are interested in that person,doesn't it make sense to try to get to know the person better, rather than just assume they can't really mean everything they say. Of course no one is perfect, and when you share things about your life, you allow your flaws to be seen, you allow the real you to show through your words. If you think someone is too good to be true, maybe it's because your own insecurities about yourself make you think the other person couldn't possibly be interested in you. But rather than admit this to yourself, you write the other person off. I have often said that life is about taking chances and this is what sites like this are for...taking a chance. Yes, it can be easier to play it safe, stick with the same old thing, stay within your safety zone, but when you think about it, just by being on this site, you've already shown you are willing to take a chance...why stop now! If you think someone is too good to be true If you wonder if the person is "real" I've a simple solution for your doubts.... get to know the person don't let fear hold you back don't write someone off before you've given them a chance Some people actually do say what they mean and mean what they say. They are about as "real" as a person can get. Life is filled with surprises and you might be surprised by what you learn.

My sentiments exactly! Taking chances and how scary that really is for some of us who in our writings expose our deepest journeys and thoughts. Saying what you mean and meaning what you say. The best little 9 words I know! A doctrine to live by actually. This isn't just a game to idle away our time. Believe. Zora (~.*) =^..^=

Thanks, Nemo. Too often we hear of others who are phony or have been insincere and we begin to doubt everyone. Thanks for the reminder. People here are very real and we are lucky to meet and know them and you are one of the nice ones.

I guess my question is how do you tell if some one is real? Do you practice what you preach?

I assume everyone is real until I learn otherwise. Maybe I am naive, but I tend to be trusting. I have spotted some that I am convinced are not real - I avoid them.

great post nemo and i also feel thru the readings of the blogs and the magazine you can figure whos real and who isnt just reading replies and such ..ive learnt alot about many on this site just by reading

You bring up some good points! Real people..aren't they the one's that are constant through out life time and time again? We all got to have Faith! Unfortunately stabbing pains can weaken the Trust and Faith we ALL normally have in people. But I guess those are the ones that will confront REALITY someday and find they don't know who they "really" are and that will come about probably when there is No more Time! I like to practice the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! SO BE TRUE!!
