Todays update

Surgery went well and they finished up and moved her into NICU late last night. My called at 1130 and said she was doing fine. The swelling was relieved and she was stable but not out of the woods yet. She said that the Dr's very optomistic again, and that as long as the shunt doesnt fail, everything should be ok and she should hopefully grow out of it as she gets older.

I cleared my schedule for the week and advised my boss of the situation first thing this morning. He's giving me as much time as I need, and its all covered by the family leave act, so I dont lose anything. That parts great, the ex is having a little trouble with her employer, but I sent them the notes from the Dr in Seattle about the baby, and they are much more understanding now. We dont know for sure if we have to go up there, but I've already got the tickets ordered with an open date of travel. So I've got a year to use them.

My called a little while ago, and she was on her way back to the hospital via STARBUCKS. I guess she didnt get much sleep either last night. The Marine Corps got the a babysitter for the boys while her husband is on duty, and she's at the hospital. I'm glad that network still works the way it's supposed to. Im just a little worried about my . She's hyper enough without the extra large double mocha latte' and a cinnamon bun. Can anyone say CAFFEINE/SUGAR RUSH.?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! That ought to bew an E ticket ride after about 15 minutes. I love her dearly but she talks so fast already I can barely understand her.

I personally wnat to thank all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers.

Great News!! I will continue the prayer vigil...until she's completely out of the woods.

Can you explain to me, what the baby's problem is? I didn't quite understand the abbreviated form you gave. Where is the shunt, located?

Harley, the prayers will continue until she is out of the woods. Hugs to you and the family. That is wonderful that the Marines are helping with the boys. Ann
