part 2

Sorry about that, major computer operator error glitch. Anyway we didnt get another call and the next shift was due in in less than 2 hours. I now have a huge headache brewing, I'm hungry, and I know she's on her way. I heard the damn flying monkees circling overhead. SO a few more minutes of anguish go by and she pulls up in my truck. She had taken the time to go home and drop off her friend so he could get his beauty sleep, and drop off her now smelly laundry. Some of the guys were up and doing our closing duties when she got there. Most of them knew the truck and she pulls up and hops out.

All perky and happy to everybody she hasnt seen in awhile, and bitchy as always to me no matter what. She's wearing a pair my future in laws short(extremely) shorts, and one of my T shirts from Sturgis that I just got.(last time I'll see that one again) She looks just shy of ready for a brass pole and some dollar bills, as she gives everybody a hug and hellos. I'm praying right now for a lightning strike to catch me between the eyes as she comes up and gives me courtesy hug that was a cold as ice. Just for looks to everyone, that she's still her old friendly self. Maybe the Dr that she was sleeping with when we split up can get her an appointment with Kevorkian. So she comes into the Station, her shorts trying to do the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader routine as she walks in. The guys invite her to stay for breakfast, and I'm beginning to have a stroke.

She STAYS, and eats with us. I pick at my eggs and keep praying for a call, death, locust, something, anything to put me out of my misery. No such luck. The on coming guys start staggering in and she has to say hi to all our old friends that she hasnt said 2 words to in a couple of years, and be a royal pain in my ass as these hounds are all looking at hers. We get through shift change, the rookies do the dishes up and I grab my stuff to go home and deal with that mess. She had dropped her boyfriend off and he had taken her car to go to work or something so now I had to give her a ride home. I was gracious, and opened the door for her, mostly to block the view of her ass from everyone in the parking lot, climbed in and took her home.

She finished chewing me a neww one a s soon as we were out of sight of anyone that knew us, and it continued all the way to her house. When she mercifully got out of the truck and it was quiet again. I was fuming inside, and I knew exactly where to direct it, THE . I made it home and grabbed some juice, took the dogs down to the mailbox and back to the house. Life was about o get good.

I woke them up in their hung over state, and had already decided their fate by turning on the lights in their room as I yelled Good Morning. I made them get out of bed, get drssed and follow me downstairs to the backyard. I handed her the POOPER SCOOPER and him the I directed to the lawn Mower. I didnt mince words, I just looked at them with thier red eyes and bed head hair and said "Get it done NOW", With that I walked inside, fed the dogs, and left list of chores on the door, grabbed a quick shower and went to bed with the mower roaring below in the yard.

I owke up later and the yard looked nice and clean and fresh cut, the dogs were bathed, and the house was immaculate.

Harley,
thanks for finishing your story! The thing about ex's is when you have children together, they never are out of our lives...sometimes ya just gotta grin and bare it.
I'm glad you didn't let your son just sleep off his hangover...cleaning dog poop in the state he was in is a lesson he won't soon forget!
I like the way you write, thanks for sharing!
