So far this year the defense has been an incredible surprise and the offense and the kicking game have been a huge disappointment. I think that signing Prater as the new kicker may help although he proceeded to miss 2 of 3 field goals in windy Minneapolis last week. If he struggles inside this week I am going to begin to wonder if it's their holder and not their kicker that may be the problem.

On offense, Calvin Johnson has been playing (or not playing) on a bum ankle for 4 weeks. He hurt the ankle in the Green Bay game and then re-injured it 2 weeks later. He didn't play last week and he isn't very likely going to play this week. It will be worth sitting him if he is back to full speed and ability but the offense is obviously not the same without him.
