The Constitution and the Devil's Advocate

Constitutional Conservative ..to CONSERVE the founding principles embodied within the Preamble of our Constitution!

In 2018, I considered myself a dyed in the wool liberal but still able to see the validity of the other side. Realistically in the middle leaning to the left.

I was going through my memories on FB and ran into this post from 2018

"There are reasons why I don't want Kavanaugh in the Supreme Count but 11th hour accusations of sexual misconduct that can't be proven is not one of them. Lives are ruined by sexual misconduct and also ruined by false accusations of sexual misconduct. Differing opinions does not equal facts. I am not in favor of a smear campaign toward someone just because I don't like his politics."

This post got me into some major league hot water to the point where my DIL's mother blocked me and my DIL barely speaks to me. I got a lot of negative feedback to the point where I switched political parties.

So now there is another situation. I stand by the Constitution and Bill of Rights absolutely. The first amendment means agree or disagree - a individual has the absolute right to freedom of speech and expression. It also means that agree or disagree, an individual has the absolute right to religious freedom and there is no mandatory religious inclinations.

A group of high school students in Salmon, Idaho decided to take a picture of six youngsters with tee-shirts wearing tee-shirts with the n-word as they are all giving the middle finger with a biracial girl laying on the ground also giving the middle finger. They posted it on lNS+ragraM and it created an uproar with people suggesting that they be federally charged or at the very least suspended from school.

I am grateful that my youthful bonehead antics along with those of my peers never got published on social media. do dumbs things. So do adults. How many time have I posted something, thought about it and deleted it or wrote a message thinking, maybe I ought not send it and didn't. Sometimes I sent it and thought oops!!!!

These were not very bright and will quickly figure that out. It's one of life's lessons but I am opposed to wrecking their lives. They committed no crime. The Constitution is the Constitution and the First Amendment applies even to dummies.

That is why certain entities on SFF continue to post ridiculous blogs over and over again for years. Those will probably learn but the old troll on SFF won't/

Not to worry Cousin, we'll find some political issue to disagree about. I'll not be sending Trump love letters anytime too soon. I love you unconditionally because you train sweet little puppy dogs for veterans

I watched it ...

Bret Kavanaugh cried continually about the damage that the accusations were doing to his family ............ then he refused continually when given the opputurnity to ask for an FBI investigation into the accusationas.

Something didn't look right when Kavanaugh said no to the investigation that could CLEAR HIS GOOD NAME ....and he refused a polygraph test too.

Kavanaugh walked out of there smelling like old fish.

It is routine that a Supreme Court nominee to be investigated by the FBI. The documentation about the allegations should have been handed to the FBI instead of the press. Also if someone is a se*ual predator, there is usually a life long pattern which was not found during the routine investigation by the FBI. I don't care what a person's political inclinations are. Smear campaigns are inappropriate.

Why didn't the FBI investigate the allegations and clear Bret Kavanaugh's good name ......

Kavanaugh was told countless times throughout the hearings that all he had to do is requested an FBI investigation into Ford and he would have it immediately ... and each time Kavanaugh just sat there looking like a scared child, like a deer caught in headlights.

You saw a "smear campaign" ... I saw a Bret Kavanaugh's reaction to it.
