Photo Friday - UGH! BlueSkies&TheFirstDandelion My attitude for the past week or so has been UGH!!! I could complain about my aching problematic left hip. I don't sleep at night because of it and if I take pain meds, I sleep for days. Thus I am trying home remedies. My GF gave me some Melatonin Bath Salts so I am going to try that along with Tiger Balm. If all goes well it gets replaced in June. Nevertheless there are always reasons to be grateful. There are folks who have it much worse than I do but it's not a competition so.........FiretrUCK and !@#$!%&!!!!!! I found the first Dandelion popping out of a crack on my porch. The troll commented that I am too lazy to weed them out. That may be true but I don't consider them weeds. They are pretty and make the bees happy because they can make honey. Afterward they get fuzzy and blow wishes into the cosmos. Dandelions are welcome to hang around my abode all that they want There have been so many random acts of kindness. I love encountering folks who have those kind of values. I went shopping and as I was parked in my parking spot at home. I looked out the car window and there was the most spectacular scenic view of the trees against the sky. I snapped the photo for Photo Friday. Our resources are beyond what we can see. |

The past week I felt like that First Dandelion - pushing through concrete looking for the light.

Sometimes, life lessons can be found in the most unusual and insignificant places......... like a dandelion growing in the crack in concrete. Keep on, keeping on. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Love the photo of the trees against the blue sky! The ultramarine photo I posted last Friday needed a filter to look really blue .. but your photo is that way naturally!! Just beautiful!

PARTS OF DANDELIONS CAN BE EATEN AS SALAD SO THEY ARE USEFUL AFTER ALL. WE HAVE THEM ALL YEAR LONG IN FACT. THAT PHOTO IS VERY STRIKING.

Beautiful photo of the tree and lovely blue sky. The dandelion looks right at home there in it's bed Bad pain like that is so exhausting, especially when it effects your sleep. I find pain always seems so much worse at night too.

Love your Dandelion....they are welcome in my world too...beautiful, cheerful yellow......Did you do that thing when you were a kid where you split the stems and put them in water and they make beautiful curls?....I was really into that when I was little.....I thought the curls were just like the ones in my baby sister's hair and she was the most beautiful baby in the whole wide world.....The stems also make great trumpets when you flatten one end....it tastes really bitter and you have to hawk and spit a lot to get rid of the taste, but it's kind of fun and righteous and cool to make rude sounds and to hawk and spit when you're a girl....and you're grateful to the dandelions for giving you a good excuse for doing something that young ladies are otherwise not supposed to do.......YAY DANDELION!!!!

I actually drink dandelion tea instead of coffee because it has the same bitter flavor.

I can't get it done soon enough. Fortunately, the troll has been behaving herself lately. She got booted and didn't like it. She had to slightly alter her handle. THE DAYS WILL END ... TIME WILL BE ETERNAL
