Photo Friday "G" for Gnome

My apartment patio has a small garden space. I purchased a Gnome and a Gargoyle for the garden when I first move . I remember placing them in the garden, going back inside and walking out find both the Gnome and Gargoyle missing. What the @#!$!!!! Coming down the sidewalk was a huge black dog with the gnome in his mouth. The mutt saw me coming after him. He dropped the gnome and it went rolling down a hill. It was quite the feat for me retrieve that gnome and I had practically crawl up the hill with the gnome. I never did find the gargoyle but that gnome did become the first resident in the garden.

I didn't know the 's so I called him Thug. Apparently he would visit all the residents in the apartment building for treats. He also had a habit of stealing things. I surrounded the gnome with chili peppers and kept a bag of treats for the Thug Dog

G can also stand for "Grumpy" aka my late husband. He died in 2013. I found a photo of us both dresses up as clowns at a company picnic. I used it on the luminary at a Relay for Life event to honor him.

I guess someone, somewhere is enjoying a Gargoyle! At least you were able to retrieve the Gnome.
When I was a kid, there was a neighborhood dog that stole things like that and took them to other neighbor's houses. People were always returning things and searching for their own stuff. Nobody claimed the dog, but everybody fed it.

This dog belonged to a person in the house behind the apartments. There a a few neighbors who complained about the dog but I didn't mind him coming around. The dog would come to my doorstep and patiently wait for a treat.
Unfortunately, the landlord made her move and take the dog with her.

I enjoyed the blog and the pictures that went with it. Dogs can be characters, can't they?

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

    Quoting  :

I never did find the Gargoyle but eventually I will find Gargoyle that wants to live in my other magickal creatures minus the problematic thugdog.
