Photo Friday FLOWERS!!!!! I've always loved Sunflowers but they don't seem grow in my current abode. However, Dandelions grow quite abundantly. When Spring first arrived, I started looking for them my dismay, there were none be found. Dang, I hope my landlord didn't spray them away. This is the first food for bees make honey with. This morning I found a few of them popping . Spring must be taking it's time getting started in West Virginia. In another reality, I would love have a huge garden with a greenhouse. Alas, my gardening adventures are limited container gardens. It is about enjoying and appreciating what we have. There are folks who have a whole lot more but it doesn't make them happier. I will be starting some pumpkin seeds in a few day. It involves soaking them, placing them in eggshells and eventually into the ground. Abracadabra

I've got all the room you could ask for, but not the ability to tend to it anymore as a garden. That's why I will be doing containers. You always have interesting plants in yours. Come to think of it, I've not seem any dandelions blooming yet this year either. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

You're planting pumpkin seeds? Very cool! I remember in elementary school one of my teachers sending us all home with a milk carton containing soil and squash seeds. Fun to watch them germinate! A day without dance is .... just kidding. I have no idea!

Nice array of flowers Starwomyn. Seeing your dandelions when I was growing up my mother would dig up dandelion greens and make a salad out of them. My mother said they were a spring tonic. We would braid the dandelion flowers and make a crown for our hair. We always had an abundance of dandelion flowers around so am sure the bees did well.

Love the cheerful sunflower mixed bouquet. Also the second pic - is it spearmint or some kind of herb? Interesting way of starting pumpkin seeds in egg shells - compostable so makes a lot of sense.
