Payday for Billy, CVID-19 and the Wisdom of Mrs.Joe

My younger is constantly on my prayer list, my step- earned a top spot on that list this month. My older does pretty well on his own but we all need prayers. I have to constantly remind myself that they have a Higher Power too. Mrs. Joe pointed out that God loves our even more than we do.

I was so glad to see the young and step sons yesterday. Billy worked for a Concession Company that traveled to various fairs, gatherings and events. They were working at a State Fair in Florida when the Fair was suddenly shut down. The entire crew returned to West Virginia and went into self-quarantine for two weeks They stayed at his boss's house.

Last year, my lost his home and vehicle due to a bad relationship. He was wiring money for her to pay the rent. She didn't use the money for the intended purpose and when he came back, his car was wrecked.

He was depending on the job to get back on his feet. Now he has no job, no car, and no home. He is about to find out how God works in a big way.

Yesterday, I called him to let him know his tax refund check arrived. I live in a Senior Apartment and we are all under a Stay At Home/Quarantine order. I told him that I would place the check in the mailbox for him to pick-up. I added a candy bar on top of the mail just to add a bit of humor.

I was so glad to see him even from a social distance. After leaving his boss's house for a two week quarantine, he moved over to a farm that his friend operates. I talked to his friend yesterday who told me that Billy is doing really well with farm life and very helpful with the work involved His old job is most likely gone but a new path may be opening for him.

I was able to attend a Church service in Parlow, Virginia via on on-line video. I've also attended on-line 12 Step Meetings on-live. I do miss my old group. We are going to trying doing ZOOM meetings. That should be awesome.

The Pay Day candy bar can only be representative of future earnings by male. Omen of good things to come.

I just hope he does not end up in Hersey Pa.

Star, I'm sitting here smiling as I think about all our interactions over the years. I'm just sorry we never got to meet in person.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Star, I've enjoyed your blog, as well as the pictures of the beautiful flowers you have in your garden. I think flowers lift up the spirit.
Take care!

Most of my plants are in containers because I live in an apartment. Most of the flowers grow wild around here. I love growing lavender, rosemary, basil, sage, and various houseplants. It does bring a feeling of joy every time I walk up to my porch and see them. I also let the Halloween pumpkin rot and turn into baby pumpkins by autumn. That's not a container pumpkin patch.
