Leaves, Crickets & Water Buffalos whirl around in the Black Hole There's an illustrious history of people who hear what they want to hear when it comes to the cheap sound chips in toys. But this time it's gone orbital! A space-themed Hoops and Yoyo card--containing a low-quality sample of the phrase "Black Holes"--is intentionally racist, the NAACP told ABC News: "Whores, not holes. The 'r' is in there ... It sounds like a group of laughing and joking about blackness, again." [ABC] The NAACP is acting stupidly on this one. Do you really think that Hallmark would market something that refers to "black hoes"? The only people who do that are black singers Will those water buffaloes ever shut up? It all started with a gaggle of annoying sorority women at Penn disturbing people by being deliberately loud. Among other people, one Eden Jacobowitz yelled out of his dorm room window at them. Unfortunately for him, instead of cursing, he got creative and called them “water buffalo.” A few minutes later, the campus police were in his dorm room. Soon thereafter, Penn was prosecuting him for racist “hate speech.” Fortunately for Jacobowitz, the story got national attention, including on the Rush Limbaugh show, and instead of his getting steamrolled, the sorority women dropped the charges and ambled off into a mudhole or whatever it is that water buffaloes normally do to relax.. Hank has worked in the prisons and I have lived in a neighborhood where there was minority gang-related violence. I suspect that these experiences will create bias. Everyone has some type of bias unconscious or otherwise. Is anybody annoyed when making a call that says push one for English or having to deal with foreign-sounding telemarketers? Does expecting people to come into the United State legally really equal racism. If a cop uses force to stop a black man who starts running after being pulled over a racist. If I prefer the term Black Friday to Blitz Friday, am I a racist? The big difference is that attitude and action are two different scenarios. I may be annoyed at potty mouth water buffalo, considering them ghetto or white trash but I am not going to beat them up. They are not worth going to jail over. Abracadabra

It seems to be the "in" thing these days, to be offended by anything and everything. For some, it is a money maker, like the big name race baiters, for some it a victim card to play, and for some it is just some caa-caa to stir. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

You think i disagree.. I don't.. It's all true.. So why am I.. Mad as hell , and not going to take it anymore.. It doesn't matter to me if it's YOU or leaf......but leaf has a far better understanding..And chooses what he does. In spite of it You don't know the difference. It's the hypocrisy and the doubles standard.. that pisses me off. You know it is the truth that a shoe on one foot.. can't fit the other foot. So it depends on which foot the shoe is on...if it fits.... And although that is the truth.. You take it to a new level. Maybe instead of changing shoes... maybe you should change your feet. I get the point of your story.. but do you get point of mine.. I had conservative friends.. who substituted the "N word" would with CANADIANS...I'm sparkle will love that..... But being fair minded and truthful.. What i couldn't understand is why they would want to disparage Canadians like that.. In your story.... why is it that nobody thinks of the poor Water buffalo.. what did he do.. to deserve that. So for me it's all the same.. It doesn't matter what a person calls you.. It matters what you hear.

However, if you are falsely accused of being racist, you are given minimal sympathy and in many cases, people will still try to ruin your life. Case and point, the smiling catholic kid vs the native American. Before the facts came out, people felt sympathy for the Native American guy and the white kid may as well have been Satan himself and probably needed to fear for his life. Abracadabra

You have obviously lived a very boring life.....I mean, who would choose, in the land of the free and the home of the brave, to spend their days inside a prison with mentally deficient desperados. I have lived a life of adventure and your limited mind can't imagine how one woman can live for a couple of decades off grid building beautiful wooden boats and also work in the movie industry, study psychology and quantum physics and skinny-dip in a wild lake and watch orca-whales sounding a boat-length from the tip of my oar...... Your ugly emotions have absolutely nothing to do with me me.....your words have no power to diminish any of my memories or my acquired knowledge.....it does however make me a little sad for you.

I may say the actual word F*CK!!!!! privately. I had a job where I was working with women addicts just out of prison. I would shake my head at their profanity and totally understand why their lives went in the direction that it did. Some of them eventually did clean up their mouths along with their lives. I also know what it takes to come out of alcoholism. Recovery is being better than you were. Progress, not perfection. I have nothing against firetrucks but I am sure that the firefighters are not offended if I say firetruck instead of F*CK!!!! Abracadabra

We all have various occupations in our lifetimes. Being a corrections officer is one of them. Thank God there are people like Hank who do these difficult and challenging jobs. It keeps society safe and hopefully, some of the criminals get rehabilitated. There is no reason to devalue another's occupation. I personally have worked a number of jobs and found plus and minus in all of them. Now that I am retired, I like parttime temporary work. Next month, I will be working on a haunted farm. Yee Haw!

Well... my point is NOT what people say.. My point is what people hear.. so maybe there is a fireman out there who would take offense with your using firetruck as an expletive..but he would be hearing what you say and not what you mean...
