LaborDay,Samhain,Xmas,& HemlockTeaForTheCarolinaPanthera .

Good Riddance August 2019 - It had its moments along with a nice paycheck for working the State Fair but I am glad that it's September with cooler weather on the horizon.

Our local Step Community had our local picnic. I stopped at the Dollar Store to some mosquito repellant to stop those pesky creatures that lurk in the forest. I found X-Mas Cards and Lavender&Twilight Jasmine scented soap. Oh La La! I also noticed an abundance of Halloween Candy, I opted to come back for that on the way home.

I made it to the Forest and greeted friends. I headed toward the Mabel Dowdy Trail with its Hemlock Forest.

Scientific Tsuga plant: Tsuga canadensis Hemlock needle tea is made by chopping hemlock needles into inch-long pieces. Pour boiling water over the needles, let steep for several minutes, strain the needles and drink .[ /I]

Health benefits of Tsuga essential oil. It is useful for respiratory problems and cleanses the blood. It is a cure for bronchitis, flu, colds, coughs, stress, anxiety and muscular aches. It also prevents pimples and acne. It lowers tension and treats minor aches and pains of the body. It moisturizes the skin and also slows down the aging process.

I found a field of what I believe is Queen Anne Lace Flowers. This more closely resembles the Hemlock that sent Socrates to the SpiritWorld. It grows wild and farmers remove it from their fields to save the livestock.

On the way home, I picked up the Halloween Candy which I will deliver to our local Step Meeting tonight. Baskets of candies are traditionally found on the table. There is a reason for this. It helps those are new in recovery and struggling with cravings by taking off the edge.

The Queen Ann's Lace here looks different from that. Perhaps ours is more of a wild carrot type thing because it does smell like carrots.
I enjoy Lavender and have the dial foaming soap in that flavor and some wax cube melts. My daughter hates it so I have a different flavor in the guest bathroom and I try to use other scents when she is here.

I am not even sure that is Queen Anne's Lace. Just some similarities. I was looking for something similar plant that CP was talking about. Ironically, my research revealed that the Hemlock of the Greek Variety is related to the carrot family. Lavender is very soothing for me. The scent helps me to sleep better.
