Politics, Immigration and YaYa With the MAGICKAL Elephant Tears

Today was the First Day Meeting on the Last First Day of the Month. (Quaker Lingo). We had our monthly Pot Luck. Interesting conversation on the way to the gathering which was in a huge cabin in the middle of farmland and forest. Girlfriend and I were talking about Immigration and Trump wanting to prioritize based on a merit system.

How do you determine what has more merit? The brain surgeon has a life-saving profession but if someone doesn't know how to clean the operating room - the work is nil.

How many immigrant Uber and cab drivers have we utilized when traveling in Washington D.C.? Thank God, I don't have to drive in that town. I have a friend 's great-grandfather was a Syrian Refugee. He migrated France and sent his the United State. The drove cabs and eventually owned a fleet with his own company. His became an officer in the military while his is a barrister.

paternal Second Great Grandfather from Germany was a cigar maker. maternal Second Great Grandmother from Ireland was widowed with . She cleaned building for a living. The from those immigrants joined the military, became cops, firefighters and craftsmen.

So Trump is going get a letter about perspective of the merit system for immigration. I will be discussing this very issue in our Senator's office next month. I believe that the borders should be secured but we also need to open the door for the right people to come it.

Now for the exciting part of the Pot Luck. Our Hostess had the most beautiful, Marvelous Sedum Morganianum plant with branches singing , "Come and take us home your humble abode" I asked the hostess if I could take a cutting and her response was "Please do! I don't like that plant." I named the newest member of household "Ya Ya." It's a cool for a beautiful woman. Its unscientific is donkey's tail, lamb's tail, burro's tail, or 's tail. I am going rename this plant with it rows of fleshy, tear- shaped leaves the MAGIKAL Elephant Tears. This is honor the political party that Ya-Ya and I are mutually affiliated with.

I didn't feel like cooking for the Potluck so I grabbed the watermelon out of the fridge. I acquired this at the local "Pay What You Can" Produce Stand. If All goes well, I will be donating a bunch of Pumpkins for them in the Autumn.

Now that is a very clever thing to bring to a Potluck. I will try to remember the next time I go to one.

What an unusual looking plant. You must have the 'green thumb' to be able to snip some off and have it root and grow.

Trump's merit system puts models near the top and chain migration is OK if it's the parents of models........

LOL! I do cuttings on the plants that are VERY easy. Jade Plants and Magickal Elephant tears are really simple.

His merit system involves immigrants who are unlikely to have to rely on Public Assistance. I seriously doubt if a model who married a billionaire is ever likely to have to apply for food stamps. Nor will she need AFDC for her anchor baby. If you are REALLY concerned about the immigration merit system, write to your local congresswoman! Oops, you don't even have a congressman. You can also write a letter to the President who is not your but I wouldn't recommend that you throw stones at his wife.

Trump frequently conducts government business at his own golf resorts. They contain all the amenities to host his guests and the halls for business meetings. Many business deals have been completed over a round of golf. Obama did the same but did not have the luxury of utilizing his own golf course. He had to use one of Trump's.

We are only about 350 miles apart. Perhaps when Trump holds a rally in either Charleston or Columbus, we can meet and attend together.

The fact that you voted for this man knowing him to be an immoral charlatan, it doesn't surprise me in the least that your own lack of ethical standards leads you to approving of such deep corruption........The Ugly american rides on.....
