Mercury Retrograde and the GOP

Today was a real Mercury Retrograde day.
My plan was to get my car an oil change Wal-Mart and get my hair cut while it was being done. I went to the Salon and was told, it was a two hour wait. Heck no, I am not hanging around Wal-Mart for two hours to get my hair done.

Instead, I opted to walked over to the Mall across the street and found that my favorite Metaphysical store was having a moving . She told where they were moving and I mentioned that it was the old Republican Campaign Headquarters. Her reply " ssssh! She talked about how her announcement of that fact got booted off of a Social Media sight that makes the SFF Police unhappy .

I talked about the #walkaway movement, the fact that I switched over and volunteered in the Republican Headquarters.

The owner and I started talking about political issues. It was great to find common ground since neither of us would be considered typical Republicans. She isn't a Republican but some of her views might surprise some of her customers. Most #walkaway folks don't fit the typical GOP stereotype. I suggested that she see Enchanted Elephants when she got to the new store. I found mine the Dollar Store . Jackasses are allowed because thier spends too but Elephants are the Power Animal of that building

It's been a good day, even though I spent part of it getting some car work done also. Supper out with friends topped it off. Our two weeks here in Knoxville has sped by so quickly, I guess that why they call it "fast time" when the clocks move forward? A few more days to spend with friends and then back home to our "normal" routine.

Spring is here, it's beautiful outside. But let's sit on the computer and insult each other!

A Google employee has broken the world record for calculating pi just in time for the mind-bogglingly long number's special day.
Emma Haruka Iwao spent four months working on the project in which she calculated pi to 31.4 trillion digits.
Pi holds a special place in the realm of math. It's an irrational number that continues infinitely without repetition. You calculate it by dividing a circle's circumference by its diameter.
Iwao did her number crunching primarily from Google's office in Seattle, where she works at as a developer and advocate for Google Cloud. Fittingly, she used 25 Google Cloud virtual machines to generate the enormously long number. It's the first pi record calculated on the cloud.

Emma Haruka Iwao, a Google employee, calculated 31,415,926,535,897 digits of pi, setting a world record.
Her milestone was certified by Guinness World Records on Wednesday, making her the third woman to set a world record for calculating the number. Iwao broke the record for pi set by Peter Trueb in 2016, which was 22.4 trillion digits long.
Google (GOOG) made the announcement on March 14 (3.14), which is known as Pi Day. The semi-official holiday for the unique number is celebrated by eating actual pies.
