Manufactured Outrage and Self Righteousness

Accusations of racism is the new McCarthyism in my not so humble prospective. I remember when Paula Deen products were pulled of the shelves at Wal-Mart because she said the N-Word. Actually, they were discounted - I bought several of them using my Wally-World discount. I gifted them to some of my women friends who loved her.

The problem is that if you are of predominately European ancestry, somewhere along the line, inadvertly or otherwise, you are likely to say or do something that will offend someone of non-European descent. This causes some of us to tip top around these folks for fear of upsetting them. This is counter productive is communication. A black friend finally told us, "Don't worry about saying the wrong thing, you are going to and we'll tell you when you do." Easy Peezy, if I am out of line with a white friend, she'll tell me so why not let a black friend do the same. That's how we learn.

I am sure that Paula Deen does not say the N-Word anymore but should it be a surprise that a Georgia woman has said that word at least once.

The latest outburst is regarding a 30 plus year accusation of a Virginia governor wearing blackface at a party. Nowadays, most folks will think twice about wearing blackface but 30 plus years ago; maybe not.

There is also the outrage about the abortion issue. There are differing opinions on the abortion issue but even pro-choice people hate abortion.

There is much ado about this Virginia Governor supporting the killing of babies after they are born.

In an interview last month, Gov. Ralph Northam said that he supported a late-term abortion bill that would loosen restrictions on the procedure, and allow women to consult with a doctor on an abortion up to, but not including, the time of birth.

The governor, a pediatric neurologist, also talked about some of the dangerous medical emergencies that pregnant women could face, such as carrying a nonviable fetus. He said that in such a case, the mother would deliver the infant and then, “the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.” While Mr. Northam was talking about an end-of-life care discussion in the case of a that would not live.

Republicans seized on his remarks as evidence that Mr. Northam supported killing babies after their birth. This was not the case at all.

Trying to ruin someone's career over a 30 accusation? Really!!!! I don't care what the political party is - It was wrong to do it to Kavanaugh when I was a Democrat and it's wrong to do it to Northam now that I am a Republican. It was idiotic to get all self righteous when Trump's locker room talk was recorded ten year before he decided to be President. All that manufactured outrage and self righteousness didn't help Hillary's cause. Like it or not, Trump is our President.

The Masters of the Left have long-since figured out that their minions are a mindless herd. They can be stampeded for little reason or none.

That's why we are a REPUBLIC with an Electoral College.

Speaking of which: the Founders pledged their Lives, Fortunes and Sacred Honor. Can you see ANY modern Dem giving up their lives or fortunes? No worry about sacred honor. They have no honor.

I think people would calm down about what Northam said about abortion if they did some research about what his life experience is and perhaps try and understand the perspective that is informing his outlook. He is a Paediatrician and has delivered and cared for thousands of babies and experienced many different medical issues. I don't understand the minds of these people that think a woman is going to just suddenly decide she wants an abortion in late pregnancy with a viable baby.......Abortion rates don't go up when abortion becomes available......In fact, where abortion is easily available, safe, and free, they are done very early. Having restrictions delays abortion.....
