DefendingMyLiberalValuesHasBecomeAConservativePosition I may disagree with another's opinion but I defend their right to have that opinion. It should be the view of the 'tolerant' liberals but it's not. It no longer surprises me the flack that I've taken from the "tolerant" liberals since I stepped over to the other side. I found a photo of a male sailor and his male partner kissing which is a reenactment of a WWII photo of a sailor and a female nurse kissing. The Headline of an article - Conservatives become unglue …………………. Seriously, how many conservatives really care? If they do more than kiss, they might need a room. Consider the baker, the florist and the photographer who did not want to provide services at gay weddings. Should a minister who has religious issues with gay marriage be forced to perform a gay wedding. How many gay couples simply go to a gay friendly merchant? Right or wrong, it's the radical left that will insist that a person has to accept them regardless. I am sure there are gay Republicans who marry each other and attend SAME SEX weddings and straight Democrats who don't. I don't mind if law abiding immigrants come to this country but I will be glad when that wall finally gets built to keep the bad guys on the other side. I don't care if the intolerant, close minded liberals don't accept me. They can stick a firetruck up their yin yang and enjoy. HAPPY 2019   Abracadabra  |

There are conservatives, and there are liberals who are not tolerant at all of anyone who has a differing opinion from theirs. But it does seem that more and more, it is the far out liberals who demand conformity while saying they are tolerant. You were well accepted in their ranks, until you started voicing opposing opinions and now are ostracized by some.......... thankfully, you are not the kind of person to be devastated by it, you will just go on being you! I think too much emphasis in our lives is placed on political ideology. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I don't have a 'my team vs your team reply'. I'm not on a team and I like to look at things case by case. But I think this blog is about tax paying citizens. Some say gay people should "simply go to gay friendly places". Some say homosexuality is a choice. Starwomyn might think her skin color and her age are choices? She's appears to be fine with discrimination .. just don't discriminate against her .. right. Here's where Politics and Philosophy meet. But don't worry about it , it's just a word... Bigotry .. intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself. synonyms: prejudice · bias · partiality · partisanship · sectarianism · discrimination · unfairness · injustice · intolerance · narrow-mindedness · fanaticism · dogmatism ….

Some say gay people should "simply go to gay friendly places". Some say homosexuality is a choice. Starwomyn might think her skin color and her age are choices? It would be far easier to walk into Wal-Mart and get a cake made at a much better price. It would be interesting to see what happened if that same couple walked into a Muslim owned bakery with the same request. I have made cakes and arranged flowers for gay folks with no problem. Wal-Mart/Sam's Club are diversity friendly businesses. It would be a non-issue for me no matter where I worked. Nevertheless, why would someone who is gay walk into a fundamentalist Christian business and demand that that business make a wedding cake and proceed to financially ruin that business when they refuse to do so. It would be far easier to walk into Wal-Mart and get a cake made at a much better price. It would be interesting to see what happened if that same couple walked into a Muslim owned bakery with the same request. Liberals would be defending the Muslim baker's religious rights but not the Christian baker's religious rights. I own a small business. There's no Constitutional right own a business. I need two licenses ... and there's no special set of rules for claiming "fundamentalist Christian business". Obey the rules and the government lets you stay in business. Discriminate and you might have fines to pay or take your chances in court .. real court, not the court of public opinion. Your Muslim baker story is daytime television at it's worst. LOL
