West Virginia (An Ugly People) thus says the Cricket Although the Demos gained in the House in Congress - The West Virginia House Representatives all remain Red. We added a congress woman this election. I LOVE empowered women in Red!!!!s The Senate has West Virginia's first woman Senator - Republican Shelley Capita along with Senator Manchin - the lone Democrat. West Virginia is in good shape on Capitol Hill. I feel sorry for some of the other states considering the clowns that they elected into office. The people we have on the State and local levels are good people regardless of political parties. So the Cricket has written an inflammatory blog about West Virginians calling them "an ugly people." How many West Virginians does he know? What does he know about West Virginians. My family and I relocated to West Virginia from California about 20 ago. It was definite culture shock. There are a lot of churches and most folks attend them. This is not a bad thing because right living has it's rewards. A few ago, our community was devastated by floods. It was the churches from all over the state and a few other states that got together and pulled our community back together. One of the local farmers just lost everything due to a fire. The community has pulled together to help this family rebuild thier farm. Once upon a time, West Virginia was a Conservative Blue but it switched to a Conservative Red. Poverty is a reality in some counties due to the closure of the coal mines. Environmental politics think the nation should convert to sustainable energy but we have to encourage companies come in and manufacture the sustainable energy. If this isn't happening, we still to keep warm in the winter. West Virginia is rich in natural energy resources. This is where the money is. Hillary Clinton lost the West Virginia vote when she declared that she was going to close the coal mines down. West Virginia's best chance of being pulled out of poverty is with the Republicans in power. The teachers recently got a long awaited raise because of increase coal productions.  Abracadabra  |

I haven't read Cricket's blog on West Virginia … so my comment is about your blog. If you couldn't find a Church in California it's because you weren't interested in finding a Church in California. Our recent fires in California are more destructive than anywhere in the country and guess what? If you want to donate your time, money, food, water, blankets, clothing, etc. to people who needed to evacuate, our local Churches provide that.

My blog was a response to the Cricket's blog calling West Virginians "an Ugly People." I am just setting the record straight. I can assure you that I was VERY active in California Churches. I helped organized a church food pantry and helped with the winter homeless shelter through the local churches. I have also lived through California fires, earthquakes and floods. I remember being in the 4H Club reseeding the hills that were destroyed by fire. I am also currently very active in my Quaker Group in West Virginia. I have never done well as a bench warmer. My comment was "West Virginia is a beautiful STATE, but with too many "ugly" people" Anytime I put a word quotes it means "ugly" in a different way. Nothing to do with someones looks. So you want what's best for West Virginia.. I say the State is beautiful... and you want to strip mine away that beauty I say the people of the State are in dire need of healthcare.. and you want to take it away. I say the people of the State depend on government entitlements, More so than most States. and you want to take that away. I say in West Virginia. there is an overwhelming disparate with the the rest of county in filing Social Security disability...There is in fact are legal firms set up through the State to do JUST that. There are towns in West Virginia that 50% of the work force is on Social Security disability. The People of West Virginia take advantage of government entitlements.. Yet, You are first to complain about entitlement but don't do any thing about it in your own STATE. .. So if the federal government doesn't do it.. who do you think is going to? And if you succeed in what you want.. Are you doing what's best for the State of West Virginia?. I don't think So. For a few coal mines.. and someone else's profit... Your selling Your State down the Shenandoah. And all you get is poverty, pollution, corruption, "dirty' air, worst "health" and NO healthcare, and the destruction of " Almost heaven..Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley".. People in West Virginia won't realize the "heaven" they have.. Until it's gone.. So why did i say. There are too many "ugly " people in West Virginia.. because too many in West Virginia agree with you.

I never really got any.. but even if you think so.. I've lost more than I've gained. From day one more than ten years ago.. It's about changing ones words and meaning to suit you. It's about the distraction of chaos and confusion Leaf's argument is NEVER weak......And you folk think it about our agreement?..
