ALINA'S WOES Born in a middle class family; With parents not educated properly. Bore many ,given insufficient care; Strict father,nagging mother,hardly can bear. Big house and lands were at hand; But even TV would not buy,though can. Father's thriftiness,made insecure; Forced them to work hard was immature. Accumulating properties were his aim; forgotten affection were insane. Dominant older siblings made it worse; It added pain to teenage's identity't lose. Freedom were less given,eager to be loosen; Met this man of the world on his late 30s,widower with four . Used his dirty clever tricks,that turned innocent girl to pieces; Forced to say i do,to avoid chaos and lashes. When his business started falling,became sadistic insecured; She's often with green and black bruises 'n injured. Under the sun,she walked,selling"meryendas",that she cooked; Beauty and other products,she bended,later in a hotel she worked. Ten years of penance,was too much,not leaving him,was suicide; With three small ,no money for support,with the parents reunite. Escaped for the mainland,out from his grip,and for overseas work; Cheated by recruiter,for survival,even in bar had to work. While looking for a better job,that will give more life; Met this,tall,dark and handsome lawyer,who gave her light. Sadist husband died later,maybe meeting late wife somewhere; Good, from first wife,know how to swim for living,and were older. Love so alive,to new friend,'till now his gentle touches had not forgotten; He helped Alina came to life,even to daughters expenses,had taken. He was her prince with shinning armor,but didn't believe in life with,i do's; That's what made Alina lost her heart, and struggle hard,for earnings and moral boosts. Learned Cooking,Baking,Dressmaking and Fashion Designing; Studied Painting,Law came later after Engineering. Alina have many talents mostly not used,if given opportunity she will make use; If only the partner knew how,they are rich by now. Worked under his command,with much discrimination; Co-workers thought,she was ill repute,in spite their corruption. Alina dislike corruption,which brought her to destruction; Even engagement to marriage,had turned to painful separation; Ruins from corrupt people, mostly the cause of her resignation. It had taught her much lessons in life; Corruptions must be fought only by people have much,in live. Just like Ninoy and Rizal who died for the country's freedom; Brains,money and supporters,must be in abundance. Alina stayed out,'coz she have less of those bounty,than late heroes of the country; Contribution maybe small,crucifixion maybe less,it were better than frauding and not guilty. Trying to heal all pains,Alina's still hibernating; Let's see what God's will in store for her,it seems by writing. With Jose Rizal's,"Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo" people where awaken; In modern writings,delivery be not opressive,simply intertaining but meanings,clearly gotten.   jgsoriano |
