Getting ready for Surgery

I am headed to Arkansas to take my dogs to my boy's house for him to take care of for the next couple of month while I am recouping from knee surgery. Will drive down Saturday and come back Sunday. Then comes the task of cleaning and making my home safe with no trip hazards and user friendly. All the little thing that makes it easier for me when I come home from Hospital. I feel like santa for I have made a list of all the things I need to do and will be getting them done before The first of Oct. Did I mention I had one day off in the last twenty but I will have twelve to Fourteen weeks off with Surgery. Hugs all Wilber

love ya all wilber

Do not be disheartened. While the recovery will seem to take longer than you anticipated, you will eventually be very grateful that you had the surgery.
so very true Wilbur my wife Patrcia has had right knee and hip replaced some 8 and 9 years ago ~ she is so greatfull for the surgeons skills and following nursing care now walks freely

prepare for some boredom as it all starts healing and knee bend therapy thats quite painfull but you will win through and be back walking again ~ your in good hands Wlibur

Best of luck!!!

Don't forget the raised toilet seat, and a porta potty (or bucket--lol) near your bed. You won't be making any quick trips to the bathroom for a bit.

Wilbur, I was with Larry following his second knee operation and I can tell you honestly that he worked hard at it. He was determined to get back on track quickly and he did even though I felt he was pushing himself a little too hard. But in retrospect I now know he did the right thing. He recovered not only quickly but amazingly! Daily exercise with a pain management routine is the only way to go. Good luck with your surgery and recovery!!!! I do hope you have help in managing....
