Today.. I have a question..

Can you tell me why some or most people shy away from the talk of religion? or Faith? or Belief?

It is true that we do not all have the same belief.. but as I am finding out.. what we believe builds our very foundation... it is more than just a Spiritual or 'feeling' type of thing..

Actually it is one of the deepest ways one could look at themselves in an honest light.. it is and can be one of the most thought provoking subjects we could talk about, because it is and has a personal effect directed to our life and the way we live.

Is it fear that we may be challenged in how we live?

Is it that we do not know enough about it to voice our thoughts on it?

Is it that we do not like healthy confrontation on the differences others may think, see, live?

Is not the only way to grow is to think and process... to evolve into who we become or are to become?

Is it that we are just to old and disconnected in our thinking to want to seek or challenge ourselves?

Is it the fear of how others will see us?

Is it that we are uncomfortable with the subject? If so, then why?

All my life I lived to the fullest.. and the only way I know how to do that is to seek.. and ask questions.. to banter or have discussions on subjects that so many have different views on..

Is is not like living in a cocoon when we stay by ourself in the our belief?

Why am I asking?? It's the only way I know to grow in my own thoughts and convictions.... it's the only way I know how to step out and experience, witness and understand what it is I really believe...

thanks all.. have a great day..

People shy away from discussing religion because it can be and is a major source of conflict. Just read the newspaper or watch the news on tv and you'll have your answer.

Many on here talk about their religion or faith. Pollyanna does, Dan Dee is a Minister and often writes things related to religion or faith. All of the Prayer Warriors profess their faith so are you asking about people in SFF or people in general. Faith/Spirituality is a part of who I am! I discuss it in general in relayion to that. I do not feel the need to discuss it all the time.

Gina I think we should not fear letting people know how we feel but I also would not force what I believe on someone else....if they have read or felt God and then turn away then there is nothing I could do other than live my life to show love..........Love Ya....MomC

Religion is one thing and faith a very personal matter which most I believe tend to carry close withing their hearts. That place deep within is where you commune with your higher self and so that cannot be anything But personal. We all see, feel and process differently and since each is here for their own lessons it becomes even more personal. I tend to take from many "religions" that which resonates within me so my way is the only way...For Me. There are some I've encountered who have tried to tell me this is wrong but it's only wrong For Them. It could become a debate on who's way is better. Follow that path that suits you best and leave me to mine and since we're both headed in the same direction I don't believe it matters who sees the Light first. It only matters that you do!
