Peter and Carma:

One more candle atop your cake.
You're over the hill, for goodness sake!
You think that you're just young at heart,
Truth is you're a real old fart.

Each day brings a new ache or pain.
Then comes the weight that you begin to gain.
You'll need bi-focals for your eyes.
The minds not broadening, it's your thighs.

Then you start to lose your hair,
Check those ears, it's growing there!
Sometimes hot flashes, sometimes the chills.
You carry an organizer for your pills.

The kids' names begin to interchange,
And your body portions rearrange.
Each new day that passes by,
When asked your age, it's another lie.

Then as you stand upon a stair,
Am I going up, or have I been there?
That wrinkle wasn't there yesterday.
I forgot what I was going to say.

You wear pajamas to bed at night.
Volume controls now go from left to right.
There's so much wax, in those candles there,
It's a lifetime supply to remove leg hair.

So now it's time to celebrate
Another milestone on this date.
I don't mean to sound so cold,
But why do we celebrate growing old?
