The best way to deal with leftover pizza ...

DON'T zap it! YU Place it in a fry pan, preferably a cast iron fry pan. Warm it through, covered, at a low setting. The crust will be crunchy and the cheese will softened, just like fresh from the oven.

I do the same with eggrolls, flipping them once to bring back the crispiness of the skins. Works great.

I do that, too. However, to me it's better with a crispy crust and melted cheese.

Like I said to Bob.

Leftover pizza is when you live by yourself and the gluten-free pizza only comes in one size ......

That sounds wonderful earthy except I don't have a cast iron fry pan anymore. I guess the frying pan I use would work. I don't order in pizza very often but the odd time when I go to the Greek restaurant I sometimes order pizza and take half of it home. But like Bob I also like cold pizza the next day.

It can be any fry pan, Shar. I just happen to find my cast iron pan works best.

I am not a fan of cold pizza so I like your idea earthy. I have an iron skillet that Mom gave me years and years ago....still works great.

Funny … I had one years ago and got rid of it. Later, I was sorry I did that. I replaced it with one I found at Goodwill just a couple of years ago. LOL I like to use it for Shepherd's Pie, among other dishes.

I've had cold pizza on more than one occasion but warming it up in a frying pan sounds like a winner.

Alfie is not real fond of pizza but it is my favorite food next to CHOCOLATE!

Well … you could always add chocolate to your pizza to reach an ultimate food orgasm and just leave Alfie out of the picture altogether. ROFL!!!

Cast iron pans would be too heavy for me now. I have arthritis in my left hand and also in my right pinkie. So consequently I don't have a whole lot of strength in my hands. It is a pain in the butt. I have a good sized stir fry pan that is almost getting too hard to hold now.

I usually have my leftover pizza cold but I do have a cast iron skillet (so will try this).
