Aren't they beautiful? The one I posted is actually in Charleston, SC on John's Island and is 400-500 years old. I know they have them all over "down South" but I had never seen them before I married Joe. The one you are standing by is pretty old too, judging by the size of that trunk. If only they could talk, think of the things they have seen! Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

What a beautiful old tree....it really irks me when our infamous parks board one to cut down these old trees. They provide us with history so leave them be. Who knows what goes on in front of these trees when nobody is around......LOL! Earthy tell Jim a good photograph.

Not up at the crack of dawn, but I am up and had breakfast. Just finish up the packing, but I have learned to try to relax at this point and do one thing at a time. We will leave in about 4 hours because Joe got up later than he wanted, so he has to wait out the time that his water pill is working. Have a wonderful time yourself. ( Thanks for the reminder, I need to shave too.) Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

It's a lovely pic of you ET...you are very photogenic. But...that tree is amazing!

. Oh! Amazing tree! Appropriate for "the little house on the tree" with which I dreamed in my childhood

Actually, just getting ready to get back on the road, but we only have a couple hundred miles to go. A few little aggravations yesterday before we left, but nothing major. Something I had for supper didn't agree with me and I spent a miserable night, in a wonderfully comfortable room! Go figure. Looking forward to seeing my son and of course that Duck! Enjoy your vacation as well. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

You look like a fairy person getting ready to dance around that magickal looking tree

Great pic, ET. Glad to see you but I wish you were larger or I need new glasses. Elaine Shuel
