Ah...the "good old days" of the 50s" When life was perfect and children (and adults) died from measles, scarlet fever, chickenpox, tuberculosis, polio and many other diseases which have been more or less eradicated from the Western world since then.

I agree. The 50's were great! Those People knew their place. You could beat up a homo and he wouldn't dare go to cops lest he get another beating. Drunk driving was OK if you were too drunk to walk home. Priests were revered and never, ever molested children. Unwed mothers were condemned as sinful sluts as they rightly deserved. Think I probably missed a few.

So you prefer to live in a society of denial and shaming.......Shaming a young girl for getting pregnant while the father gets off scott-free....The Very churches that projected shame onto the girls were hotbeds of sexual abuse....What hypocrisy! There were lots of abortions in the 50's too, difference is that they were performed in very sketchy circumstances and many women died in agony from abortions and many more were scarred for life.....many became sterile or had pregnancy complications in subsequent pregnancies or became very ill from infections that they were afraid to get medical help for. Sexual abuse of children was also rampant in those days....there was a silent acquiescence that ran deep in society in those days. Date-r*pe was not even a thing, nor was spousal r*pe......the Catholic Church, the JWs and many other institutions protected child abuse within the organization........ Those "Happy Families" of the 50's were often a front for the world, behind which many horrors were perpetrated.

The second thing is that Katie, of all people, is quoting Jesus Christ in an effort to shame Rich because of his personal beliefs. The answer to your question is obvious.....your own blog is the answer.........You are advocating for the shaming of women for not preventing a man from ejaculating in her vagina, while denying all responsibility for the ensuing pregnancy on that man......as if men's sexual pleasure is a God Given Right to impose upon women. You have absolutely no empathy or willingness to understand the woman's situation........If you are trying to advertise the advantages of a belief in God, you are doing a piss-poor job.

There are always people who will find something wrong with everything. I love your blog. I agree that life was different back in the 1950s and even tho' not everything was by any means great, we all had a more simple life. I lived through the 50s and can remember it as being a happier time.
