Art is the only place color should really matter and even then only if it is meant to. Anatomy and physiology is your key, the lighter the skin tone the more translucent and the more the tones of veins and fatty deposits affect coloring. Soft undertones of blue and red and slight yellow, all help.
Although, I must say, this original reminds me of a classic Warhol.

    Quoting Koffla:

Great looking painting, as always! Simply ignore the miserable resident village idiot.
Everyone knows he is a ranting lunatic looking for attention.

Hello Koffla my friend..........I say that because you are so kind and helpful to me. I never respond to that pitiful creature because he wants me to say something to him but I refuse to let him pull me down to his level.

Well done Bright, your painting seems to have captured your friend's spirit which I think the essence of all communication in art.

You do well to ignore Crazy Horse's baiting. For him perhaps, getting even a little rise out of someone is better than the long-dead horse he's been flogging. Sad really .

Hello lilium......so good to see your response.Thank you I did try to show her as the courageous lady that I see. I am not happy with my skintones and I am going to paint another one and I will show it here.I am determined to get those skin tones correct.
