My friend Roger epilogue I got the following text just a bit ago Had my dual pacemaker installed this morning and survived in flaming colors. Surgery took 46 min not including preptime. I am being kept overnight for observation. If all goes well I will be kicked out of dodge tomorrow after lunch. My bro and sis in law will pick me up and bring my yellow taxi home.. I left the operating room a stretcher. When I got back to my room I immediately put my shoes on and started sprinting around the ward. A nurse chased me down and told me to get into bed right now, as was supposed to be on 2hr minimum bed rest. After the enforced time out I walked some more Had salmon steak, rice pilaf, peas, roll, cole slaw and mandarin orange slices, with peppermint tea for supper. Superb! Time for me to go bed. Hello and goodnight to everyone in the lobby. Roger |

Thank you, Steve, for keeping all my friends here on SFF updated on my latest health crisis. I appreciate all the prayers and well wishes. They definitely helped me come through the ordeal in good shape, and ready for another 100,000 miles. LOL! This is Wednesday and I was so exhausted for the noisy stay in the hospital for a week, that I slept for 12 hours and had a late breakfast. I walked my little doggy who was so happy to be reunited with me. I am now doing laundry and watering the neglected lawn. One of these days, my neighbor will help me shorten the grass. I may not be doing another dog walk because the temperature has dropped from 90F yesterday to 60F today with a brutally strong NW wind.

Sounds almost as if you were having too much fun in the hospital and I bet you kept those nurses on their toes!! Wish it was 60F here in Texas!
