Since when is an "agreement" written in stone...It's only as good as it's intention and participants.. NATO was never written in stone.. NATO intent was only the intent of each participant.. WTF?.....You don't need an agreement to defend Ukraine....Russia certain didn't need agreement to attack it, and wipe it off the face of the earth. Russia doesn't need to abide by the international laws of air space and the seas. Russia doesn't have the right to make Ukraine a "No opposition fly zone" Bring down the bully .. we need to supply humanitarian aid to Ukraine by ALL Nato countries.. by non aggressive overwhelming force.. Let them fire the first shot.. Let them start the war with NATO.. See how far THEY want to go. Diplomacy has degraded to Threats, Hostage taking, terrorism, manipulations, intimidation, and payoffs...there is no purpose or design... The sacrificial lamb... only matters if it's your lamb.
