The Winds Journal

Do you remember the night
The moon dropped from the sky?
And we ran through the forest to find where it lie
I was tripping on tree roots and slipping on snow
You were holding my hand saying not to let go
When we found it at last there were twigs in our hair
A rose on our cheeks and our breath in the air
And the words to describe it got caught in our throats
As its silver light danced through the threads of our coats
We knew that our eyes had not seen such a view
You were looking at it
I was looking at you

Indigo,
How old is she now?
At age 21, Erin Hanson wrote: "There is freedom waiting for you, on the breezes of the sky. And you ask, 'What if I fall?' Oh, but my darling, 'What if you fly?'"
Erin Hanson has a talent for turning fantasies into words.

Hey look look .. she is 42 now. I have always loved her poetry and there is just so much of it out there. I admire the uniqueness of each of her creations as well as the myriad feels that come baked into the words she chooses. Then of course there is Lang Leav, an Australian novelist and poet who I consider comparable to EH and whose words I often share in my blogs.

Yes those immortal words “what if I fall?’ Oh, but my darling, ‘What if you fly’ have been copied, stitched and stamped onto (and into) many things - almost like a battle cry for those who suffer from insecurity and the fear of failure.

I agree. I remembered this little piece from years back and had to search to find it again .. but here it is. To me it is kinda magical. As looklook mentioned above - Erin has a talent for turning fantasies into words.

I think you’ll like her work. She has created so many beautiful and unique bits of poetry over the years. I’m simply amazed at how many there actually are.
