Day to Stay Inside

It's now 39 F... 4* F outside after a day of misty rain. One project I managed to accomplish. Getting my sweet potatoes early into water for them to sprout.

In the past my tooth picks got broken getting banged about on the countertop. I decided to use shortly cut copper wire and wide mouthed jars. Guess we'll see how this works.

I couldn't get better matched sweet potatoes at the store, With planting time running out I just bought what I could. I've been pretty off today. dizzy and nauseated. Temps are to drop and we get snow tonight or tomorrow. So glad I held off on my planting.

If the potatoes light up I think you use the wrong voltage wire 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hope your potato sweeties produce nice strong sprouts prior to planting season.

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Hope that doesn't last too long for you.

Snow tonight and tomorrow? Oh yuck. Up here in the great white north, it was 57F, sunny, light SW breeze. A very pleasant day to eat lunch outside, walk the dog and do some trimming of dead branches from my spruce trees. I had a full truckload that I hauled to the dumpster.

I don't think the copper will react like it would if I'd used iron.

They make nice trailing vines from a tall urn.

Just nasty outside here. The snow will be wet and heavy but will be gone in a few days.... nothing to get worried over.

I don't have very good luck with them Twi. I hope I can get a pair of them for the patio.

Sounds like a very good day to stay warm and cosy inside. You must be fed up of snow by now, Darter. Good luck with trying to grow your sweet potatoes.
