a Couple of...

I did my banking then drove by John Deere. Low and behold they had a matching wooden box tossed out back in the junk. They said I could have as many as I wanted, however, my little Mercedes trunk would only handle one comfortably. Happy with my find I brought it back to the shop. I'll clean them out and buy more potting soil for the Marigolds.

It reached a comfortable 52 F... 12 C here, however, towards dusk the clouds started to roll in. The next few days we are to have a mixed bag of showers, fog, and snow depending on time and temperature. The paychecks won't bounce keeping our workers happy.

That's great, Bret. Now you can have a plethora of marigolds that will bloom all season long. By the way, marigolds are quite frost tolerant in the fall and just keep blooming until a killing frost.

It got to only 35F here today, sunny, with a N to NE breeze. S'posed to be warmer tomorrow. I did let the dog take me for walk after my lunch and then took her home to eat her lunch. Her dad was still in bed, suffering from osteo porosis pain.

I cooked up some chick thighs, drums and backs for meals. After deboning, there was not a lot of meat. I cooked up 2 lb of rice to compliment it and get me by for the next week. I am fresh out of spuds but will fetch some from the food bank on Thursday.

Roger I'd cover them for as long as needed. I like the French variety's range of colous.

The weather while pleasant was far too breezy to burn off the creek.

We enjoyed the egg salad with bacon and sweet pickle in it with a bowl of chicken noodle soup.
