Black Friday 1929

snb; Silicon Valley Bank has failed...

the 16th largest bank in the USA. The second largest bank failure in US history more than $50 Billion dollars evaporated. 90% of deposits are NOT covered by the FDIC's $250,000 insurance. This has ripple down consequences.

Paychecks for Wells Fargo bank employees were not delivered Friday ...

Our banking industry is in serious trouble

The stock markets are trembling ...

That's because Wells Fargo takes over other banks because they r greedy bastards ! They took over the bank that I loved and just a week before the takeover, I pulled out my money and put it somewhere else. Now I love this bank and have been with them almost 20 years now

I heard the news yester about Silicon Valley Bank failure, but didn't hear about Wells Fargo problem. This is very serious and could spell the beginning of a recession if there is a cascading effect throughout the banking industry.

I am up on clock time, not sun time, and it feels too early. It is -10F with a light SE wind, clear sky. We are supposed to be entering a warming trend tomorrow. Let's hope the forecast is correct. could stand to get rid of some of the 8" of snow that fell Friday night. The wind whipped up 4' drifts here in the village, blocking a few streets. I spent 2 hours Saturday with my snow blower clearing my driveway, and another hour shoveling out at my disabled friend's place. My back was sore for a while, but has recovered.
