Deer are so graceful and don't mind being in close proximity to human habitation, as long as they are not disturbed. I have deer wander through my yard every night, munching on the cedars and spruce trees. They leave their footprints behind in the snow.

It was -26F here this morning, with a wind chill of -33F. It warmed up to -11F under sunshine and a bitter NW to SE wind. It has now dropped back to -18F and dropping fast. The forecast, if you can believe it, says it is supposed to be slightly warmer on Saturday, and even above freezing on Sunday.

I accidentally sliced my left thumb open while making supper tonight and had to run for bandages. After applying several over top of one another, I was finally able to stop the bleeding so I could eat my supper which was waiting for me on the plate. I need to stop using sharp knives. LOL!

They are still saying 40 F for us here but at last look we were 16 F ... There will be a hell of a change to get that.
